Bob Dylan Plans seven-Night NYC Residency at Beacon

Only days after announcing an extensive new U.South. leg of his "Never-Ending Tour," Bob Dylan has now added even more dates–all of them in New York City. The Nobel Prize-winning singer-songwriter will perform a vii-show residency at the historic Beacon Theatre on Manhattan'south Upper Due west Side on November 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30 and December one. (Dylan previously performed a five-nighter at the venue in 2017.)
The new announcement follows the announcement on Sept. 10 that Dylan volition headline opening night of The Met Philadelphia on December 3. Bob Dylan & His Band will be the offset act to play at the newly renovated historic venue and marking his 50th Philadelphia-area performance.
Originally congenital in 1908 by opera impresario Oscar Hammerstein, The Met Philadelphia is currently undergoing a $56 million restoration to transform the celebrated theater into the crown gem of North Broad Street's renaissance, which has seen a neighborhood revitalization through several major restoration projects.
In March and April, Dylan performed several dozen dates in Europe. The 2018 tour follows a particularly fruitful year for Dylan: 2017 saw the release of his iii-disc Triplicate, his latest drove of Neat American Songbook covers, and Trouble No More—The Homemade Serial Vol. 13 /1979-1981, a comprehensive collection of music made during Dylan's and then-called Christian era.

More of the sometime standards from his recent albums accept found their way into his concert setlists of belatedly. On the European dates, many of Dylan's own archetype rock compositions of the '60s and '70s, such equally "Highway 61 Revisited," "Tangled Up in Blueish" and "Simple Twist of Fate" take also been featured. Many of the typically 20-vocal sets have included "Blowin' in the Air current" and "Ballad of a Thin Man" as encores.
